Online shoppers are prone to trust other customers’ experiences more than any product’s description, making purchases. Usually, product reviews excel well at providing trust to customers. However, not every online store has enough product reviews to stimulate shoppers to make purchases. That’s why our team has developed the Product Popularity Status extension that complements default marketing tools.
The extension shows popups for customers that notify them how many people are choosing a product right now and how many people added a product to the cart in XX minutes. When customers see that numerous people are choosing the same product simultaneously or adding it to their shopping carts, they begin to trust this product more, which stimulates them to buy it.
You can use both XXX people added this product into a cart in the last XXX minutes/ XXX people are choosing product X right now popups or use them separately. In the setting, you can set the text of your messages, time thresholds, and popup’s style.
Manual
- Go to Stores>Configuration>Magenmagic> Session (Personalization)
- Configure the Added Into Cart block the next way
- Enable Module
- Insert people {added} this product into a cart in last {minutes} minutes into the Message field
- Insert #product_addtocart_form into the Target CSS Selector field
- Set the time (seconds) when the message hides on the front end
- Set the time threshold (for example, if you set 60 minutes, customers see the message that X people have added this product into a cart in the last 60 minutes)
- Configure the Choosing Right Now block
- Enable module
- Insert {people} choosing that {name} right now into the Message field
- Insert #product_addtocart_form into the Target CSS Selector field
- Set the time (seconds) when the message hides on the front end
- Set the Time Threshold (Time after last exchange with the browser when a customer was on the product page)
- Save Config
